Indian Motorcycles : Authentic, rebellious excellence.
Do what you love, amirite? Motorcycle culture has been part of my life since I got my first Vespa P200 when I was 18. Since then I’ve had the fortune to ride around the world, literally shipping my bike anywhere I thought it be fun to ride. Add in my other love of filmmaking, and well, you get something like this.
Indian Motorcycles wanted to partner with a local shop to showcase their new 2022 FTR 1200cc line of bikes in a very authentic and organic way. They wanted it to be polished and have all the sophistication of a full scale TVC, but the excitement and raw emotion of a TikTok video. Man I love a challenge, but unfortunately it wasn’t so difficult when you have bikes these sexy and an iconic well respected shop like Union Garage as your backdrop. Calling in a few local friends like Photographer Ryan Dausch and actual riders Arturo Ruiz and Grant Lancaster, we put together a little fun photoshoot and rocketed through the city to capture some truly unique views.
All this was shot in one day and produced a library of high quality product stills, lifestyle photos, and riding footage, including 6 broadcast quality films in multiple formats. I shot on my new 6k Blackmagic Cinema Camera Pro, which allowed us to not only reframe everything from 16:9 to 1:1, but also pull stills for social. I also got funky with my new 6K GoPro MAX 360 to pepper into the cut, and to have as stand-alone VR experiences for their website, YouTube, and Oculus VR. This is a true 360 campaign and I love it.
